Rocky Mountain Chapter Achieves Platinum Circle of Excellence
We are pleased to announce that the local chapter received the highest level of Circle of Excellence for the 2008 program year.
The prestigious
HDI Local Chapter Circle of Excellence Awards acknowledges superior performance
of HDI's local chapters and provides a benchmark for local chapters to benefit
from and emulate. In 2007, the Rocky Mountain Chapter received the Gold Level
award. We are honored to have achieved the Platinum level in 2008.
This achievement is an acknowledgement of the level of commitment our chapter
members have to HDI!
2008 Analyst of the Year and Annual Named
George Kobar, CE-Staples
Congratulations to George Kobar of CE-Staples!
George was awarded the Rocky Mountain Chapter of HDI's Analyst of the Year at
the 2008 AOY and Holiday Party
on December 10. George now competes in the Midwest Regional Analyst of the
Year Program. The winner of the regional competition will compete at the
Global Level at the 2009 HDI National Conference being held in Las Vegas on April
6 -9, 2008.

The Analyst of the Year program is a global program which enables each Local Chapter to select a winner to compete at the regional level. The winner of each Regional Analyst of the Year will be invited to participate in HDI's Global Analyst of the Year Awards Gala, to be presented at the HDI Annual Conference. This year's local winner will win a $500 cash prize.

Founded in 1989, HDI is headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and is the world¹s largest membership association for internal and external IT Service and Support professionals. HDI
is member-focused and remains vendor-neutral in its efforts to facilitate open,
independent networking and information sharing within the associationšs global

About the Rocky Mountain Chapter:
The Rocky Mountain Chapter of HDI (often referred to as the Denver Chapter of
HDI or Help Desk Institute) was established in April 1991 by local practitioners
interested in a common goal: To leverage best practices and promote brainshare amongst leaders in the Customer Service and Support Industry.
The chapter currently has 135 members which includes representatives from 82 companies and many individual professionals involved in the Help Desk Industry. We host monthly meetings with nationally recognized speakers such as Kirk Weisler and cover myriad topics to help Team Leads, Supervisors, Managers and Directors do their job more efficiently.
How do I Get Involved?
Attend Meetings! All are welcome to attend the monthly meetings.
Members may bring guests and any non-member may attend. Please come and check out our chapter.
Volunteer to Host a Meeting! Through out the Denver Metro area, volunteer host locations are needed for meeting locations.
Conference rooms should accommodate larger meetings (big events).

Upcoming Events
The Rocky Mountain Chapter of HDI takes the summer months off to accomodate members' vacation schedules and to allow the Board Members time to attend the annual Officers Summit to sharpen their skills at serving you. Check back in July 2009 for details on the next meeting on August 20, 2009.

The National HDI Conference was held on April 6 -9, 2009 in Las Vegas, NV. More than 3,000 customer service and IT support professionals, managers, directors, and executives converged on the Mandalay Bay Resort or the premier event in the support center industry.
