Rocky Mountain Chapter of HDI Receives "Rising Stars" Award

In June 2008, several chapter board members attended the annual HDI Local Chapter Officer Summit meeting in Colorado Springs.  Chapter officers from all over the USA and Canada attend this event.  This annual meeting is designed to provide training to board members on improving operations, sharing knowledge and ideas with other chapters, and recognizing improvements and efforts.

This year, the Rocky Mountain Chapter of HDI received the "Rising Stars" Award.  This award is given to one chapter each year who has demonstrated tremendous progress in improving membership, programs, and general chapter operations.

Presenting the award was Sophie Klossner, Local Chapter Membership Director of HDI Global.  On hand from the local chapter to receive the award was:  Jennifer Woolley, VP of Programs, David Caron, Board Member at Large, and Nancy McInnis, Board Member at Large.

The Analyst of the Year program is a global program which enables each Local Chapter to select a winner to compete at the regional level.  The winner of each Regional Analyst of the Year will be invited to participate in HDI's Global Analyst of the Year Awards Gala, to be presented at the HDI Annual Conference.

Our 2007 winner was Walter Ryan, Helpdesk Analyst with AgInfoLink.  It was announced at the December 13, 2007 Rocky Mountain Chapter of HDI Holiday Party that Walter Ryan was selected Analyst of the Year for the local chapter.  Walter competed at the Regional level for HDI's Midwest Regional Analyst of the Year.  While he did not win the Regional Level of competition, our chapter is very proud of Walter's accomplishments.   Read More.
